Colourwork

Someone was very happy to try on a new sweater today.
We knew that the sweater was going to look great when finished and it far exceeds our expectations.
The sweater is knit from the bottom up in the round, and the body and sleeves joined at the underarm. A few raglan-style decreases are made before beginning the circular yoke color work, which incorporates more decreases. Short rows are worked just before the colorwork for a better fit around the neckline. The sleeves can be knitted using the magic loop method, or using dpn. If desired, you can work the ribbing on a smaller needle size.
Lynda finished Tensho. It is awesome!!! The main colour is Woolstok and the contrast is Dream State. Our sample is the third size. By the pattern yardage we needed 9 Woolstok and 2 Dream State. Lynda used 7 Woolstok and 1 Dream State with very little (almost nothing) left over from each yarn.

Lynda also finished Double Your Pleasure. This is a new pattern from Prism Yarns.
Double Your Pleasure can be worn multiple ways and with either side out, for a very different look. Inspired by a Stephen West design, our version is very easy to knit with short rows and stockinette/reverse stockinette.
The shawl is knit with one Merino Mia 6 Pack. We used Dark Autumn for our sample. Tomorrow six more kits will be arriving.

I had Double Your Pleasure on for a few minutes. It is very comfortable to wear.

I received an email this afternoon for a presale of concert tickets in Vegas. Aerosmith will be playing 18 shows next April - July. There is a show on Beth's birthday so we bought tickets tonight. It is a big year for Beth. She figured that she will still be one of the youngest in the crowd :) She won't be feeling bad about hitting a milestone.

There was no picking up of stitches today. Tomorrow!!
