| New Sleeve |
I sat down to knit on Saturday afternoon and decided that I hated how my sleeve looks. It isn’t the designers fault - this is totally on me. I knit a bit loose and the edge stitches are not neat. The pick up isn’t neat and I didn’t distribute the stitches evenly enough around the armhole. All in all it’s awful. I decided that I am going to knit the sleeves from the bottom up and sew them in. This way I can sew the sleeves in further from the edge (making a bit bigger seam allowance inside) and have it look much neater. Luckily it was only 3 evenings of knitting.
Here is my new sleeve. I really like knitting the sleeve separately. Knitting the sleeve attached to the sweater is cumbersome. This is much quicker.
We had a great visit at the house. I think we have all our furniture arranged. Then I spent a few hours doing accounting. It’s time to put my feet up and knit. My eyes are sore from too much computer time.
