We are having fun at the store for the next few days.

A new roof!! The shingles are being ripped off and new ones put on.

This morning Mr. Canada Post brought in a big, heavy box from Fleece Artist.
 Slubby Blue
100% Wool Blue Face Leicester
100m/125g 8mm, 10st/4"
Big needles = quick for a scarf.

There is a new pattern from Churchmouse that uses the Slubby Blue

Wooly Wreath and Garland
“A little woolly magic!”
Years ago we knitted mammoth woolly wreaths for our shop holiday display and they were so popular that we created home-sized versions for a cozy accent all winter long. The little garland is charming wrapped around your tree, over the mantle, down the banister—anywhere you want a little woolly magic. We've even been known to wear it!
2 skeins of Slubby Blue for a small wreath
4 skeins for the large one

Thrum Mitten Kit
-125 grams Blue Face Aran
-60 grams Merino Sliver
-(suggested needle size: 3.5 mm)

There is also a basket filled with fleece. You can use for needle felting or to knit thrum mitts.

Thrum Mitts really keep your hands warm and they aren't hard to make.

It's time for Survivor. My knitting hasn't progressed. Hopefully section 6 will get finished tonight. I'm going to be up for a while because X Factor and Criminal Minds are taping too.

Happy Anniversary to my parents. 49 years. That is a really long time. :) Beth and I took them out for dinner and gave them their anniversary/Christmas gift. My mom really wanted a Bose sound system and I kept saying no. On Monday while I was at Yorkdale I went into the Bose store. Yes, I caved. They have the system now. We set it up after dinner and it does sound really good. They are happy so we are happy.

Kim came into work this morning wearing a cowl she just finished in Classic Elite's Chalet. It looks so warm!!
Pattern: Fresco Basket Whip Cowl (free from Classic Elite)
Yarn: 4 skeins of Chalet
Needles: 6mm, 80cm circular
Section six is done! The cast off on this end looks much better. I need to take out the cast off on the other end and redo it. Then the two side borders. Those are close to 500 stitches. I made an executive decision-I'm leaving that until I get home.
Abbi wasn't a happy camper on Survivor last night. I don't know why she thought everyone would stick with her when she treats them poorly (I'm putting that in nice terms). I'm writing, doing paperwork, watching football and cleaning the house all at the same time. I might need to focus on one thing and get it done before moving on. :) Knitting might be the answer-quit doing everything else and relax.

Beth and I are almost set to leave for our little adventure. Almost because my car is in the shop today. It went in last Friday with tire problems and the light came on again at 6 last night. It should be ready this afternoon. We are leaving very early Sunday morning, going to the hotel and then heading to the football game. Green Bay is in Detroit. Monday is going to be zoo day - at least that is the plan right now but it could change depending on the weather. Tuesday shopping. Wednesday could be more shopping. Originally we were coming home on Wednesday afternoon but we made it Thursday night. That way we can see the Houston Texans play in Detroit on Thursday-American Thanksgiving. Beth and I didn't really want to stay (just joking) but my dad is making us. He could be more excited about us seeing two games than we are.

I did something last night that I have never done in my life. Ripped out knitting and scrapped a project. I like the yarn - Freia Fingering. I like the pattern (Drop City) but they aren't meant for each other. I'm going to put the yarn on hold until I get home and then will find a better project for it. The colour repeats are very long (which isn't a bad thing) and I think they are meant more for a shawl than a scarf. Drop City is going to be done in a hand dyed sock yarn or maybe a Noro sock yarn.

Mr. UPS brought in a box from Dream in Color-Everlasting Color is here. Good timing-one of these colours will work for Drop City. :)
With its distinctive multi-ply construction and smooth twist, this base provides the ideal canvas for our vibrant, subtly-layered colors. The fiber content, combined with our unique dyeing process — developed especially for the Everlasting bases — gives Everlasting Sock its deep and lushly-shaded tones. Knitted at a firmer gauge, this yarn forms a dense and hard-wearing fabric that’s perfect for socks and cold weather accessories, while knitting at a looser gauge yields a fabric with sensational softness and drape.
100% superwash merino wool
100 g & 420 yds.
7.5 – 9 sts per inch
U.S. 0 to 2 needles
$29 a skein

This isn't all the colours. That would make a very long post but I will say that they are amazing and choosing is going to be hard. We started with 2 skeins of each colour. I wanted to see the yarn before I ordered a really big shipment. It is very nice and I will be getting more.

I brought the Linen Stitch Scarf with me today. I'm almost done the first ball of each colour and will be joining in a second ball of each for a really wide scarf-more like a shawl.
Since it is only two more sleeps I better start thinking about what I am going to take to wear. More importantly, what am I going to take to knit??

Beth is out so I 'borrowed' her iPad Mini to see how easy it is to write a blog post.

There is a really cool thing where you split the keyboard. Half for each hand. Kind of like texting. The Mini is so light that it is easy to hold it and write this way.

I can't do a post without pictures so here are more colours of Everlasting Sock.

Adding pictures from the web was a snap.

The mini has a camera so I can take pictures and post them unlike my iPad where I take pictures with my phone and then download them.

I really hope Santa (mom make sure you tell Beth) brings me one of these.

It's the time of year to wear scarves. I started thinking about my Hitchhiker Scarf and the fact that I had no clue where it was. After some searching (some should be in capitals-it took a bit) I found it in my room. This led me to think about Rock Island. I have two-one that I knit and one that Diana knit. Where were they? I know they weren't at home. I found them nicely folded (thanks Cathy) along with some other shawls downstairs in the store. They are hanging in the store again.
My Rock Island (knit in Shepherd Sock) is now hanging along side the Austin Hoodie (knit in Solemate) that has a Linen Stitch Scarf on it (knit in Shepherd Sock). A little corner of Lorna's Laces. The Offhand Designs bag is a Scottie in Gilroy. I'm hoping no one sees it because it will look good in my house.

I'm almost ready to go. One more load of laundry and then I can pack. Maps (hotel, shopping, zoo) are printed. I have a navigation system in the car but when I'm going somewhere new I like to have a map as well-just in case.

My knitting is ready to go.
Drop City using Dream in Color Everlasting Sock. The colour is Concord which didn't photograph well. The pot lights made shadows so I kept moving rooms but it didn't help with the colours.
The colour is purple-what else would I be knitting with??

Now a bit of knitting and then early to bed. Morning will be here soon. :)

We're Here

It was an early morning. The alarm went off at 4am so that we could be on the road at 5. Small problem-there was a lot of fog. Really bad fog. We decided to wait until 6 to get on the road. The fog wasn't too bad and as the sun came up it was fine. About half an hour past London it got really bad. I had to really concentrate. Give myself a headache concentrate. We figured we could only see 300m in front of us. It was like that all the way to the Windsor.

We had no wait at the border and were in the hotel lobby before 10. Our room wasn't ready so we went to the concierge about getting football tickets. The amazing lady working at the desk helped us get tickets that were great. And for a huge discount.

After a short cab ride (we didn't realize how close the stadium was) we were ready for football. Ford Field sits right beside Comerica Park where the Detroit Tigers (baseball) play.

The stadium was amazing. Probably the nicest I have been to for a football game and I have been to many-Miami, Buffalo, Cleveland, Seattle, Minnesota and San Diego.

Every staff person we came in contact with were helpful and friendly.

Here are a couple of the concession stands. Big Boy and Tim Horton's.

The hotel room is flash. A TV in the bathroom. Does it get any better?

And the best shower I have seen in a hotel bathroom. A shower head on the ceiling. Love it!!

We are watching football while I write. Beth forgot to tape The Amazing Race so we are going to watch and then to bed. Tomorrow we are going to the zoo.

Having Fun

Beth and I are having fun. I'm not going to say that we have relaxed but we are enjoying ourselves.

We have mixed reviews from the zoo yesterday. It really is the wrong time of year to be going for a visit. A lot of animals are inside for the winter. There is a train that runs through the zoo but it is closed for the season. We did a lot of walking-probably over 2 miles. I was a bit tired by the time we were done. Not too tired to go to the mall but tired. :)

Otters who were more interested in sleeping that visiting with us.

This was the only polar bear we saw. Luckily I spotted him when I did. You walk into the area where they play and go in a big loop. When we came to the end of the loop and didn't see any more bears we went back to the beginning to see this guy again. He was gone. Beth would have whined all day if she didn't see a polar bear.

Sommerset Mall was on the way back to the hotel. OK, not on the way back but close. Macys-Beth and I each got a pair of shoes. California Pizza Kitchen. Nordstoms. Beth got another pair of shoes. This is big because Beth doesn't have a shoe thing like I do. The mall was beautiful. We could have spent a lot more time but we were a bit worn out.

There is a bit of progress on my knitting.

There was a bit of progress on my knitting. Maybe I will get a bit more done tonight. Maybe.

Today Beth and I went for a drive to another mall. It was outdoors. Luckily the weather today was nice.

You can even take your dogs to the mall.

We were walking along and these bears were in the window of Kay's Jewellers. Who could pass up on them? Then we found out that all money was going to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Yes, we have one of each.

Beth is reading and doesn't want to head out yet so I'm going to sit with my knitting and get some rows done.

Free Patterns

There hasn't been much knitting content this week. Before I left I was looking on Facebook and found two free patterns from Debbie Bliss

http://www.designeryarns.uk.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/Paloma2.pdf

Sorry-I don't know how to add a link while posting on my iPad.

The cowl (and a muff) are knit in Paloma. This is a thick chain yarn (it looks like it has already been knit before you knit with it) that is super light.

60% baby alpaca
40% merino

knits on 9mm-10mm needles

I knit a cowl in the yarn and it is super soft!

And here is my scarf. I spent time last night watching TV and working on it.

It might not look longer but two more repeats of the pattern are done. Every time you start a repeat 2 stitches are added. This means the rows are getting longer and the sections are taking more time. Yes, I am making excuses for my lack of progress. :)

Beth and I drove back to Somerset this morning. Cathy and her family come to this mall every fall to do their Christmas shopping. When I told her what we saw in the mall on Monday she commented that we needed to go back. We missed a lot.

I came home with new Ugg slippers from Nordstroms. I wear my Ugg slippers every day. When I wake up they go on my feet until I leave the house. Then they go back on my feet when I return home after work. I wear them out from wearing them so much. Beth saw these before I did and said that they had my name written all over them.

Purple plaid. I don't need to say anything else.

I also came home with a new scarf. It is a cashmere and silk blend. I bought one a few years ago and love it. It's the winter of scarves for me. Yes I can knit a scarf but I can only knit so fast. :) And this one is so pretty.

There were many, many parents bringing their kids to the mall to have pictures taken with Santa. This is his house.

I love going to Restoration Hardware. They are set for Christmas with lots of gift ideas as you walk in the door. The one section we looked at was Luxe Faux Fur. I made Beth put this hat on for a picture. She thought I was just joking about posting here.

She had her sunglasses so she put them on top of the hat. I don't want you to think that there is something funny about the hat because it was great. I offered to buy it for her but she said she would never wear it. I think she might regret that decision when the snow and cold hit.

Here is a picture of all the colours from the Restoration Hardware website.

I have a hot water bottle in dark brown. I'm not sure I really need a hot water bottle but I have one now if/when the need arises.

Beth and I are taking a break in the room to watch Survivor and X Factor. Abi is something else. I would be voting her butt off tonight. She is a witch!!

We decided that we aren't going to the football game tomorrow. Beth has a lot of work waiting at home so we're leaving in the morning. That way she can get started tomorrow afternoon. I will be watching the football games and packing yarn to ship out.

In case I get wrapped up in my work, football or a nap, I'm writing tomorrow's post today.

Happy Thanksgiving to my friends south of the border.

New Garments

I'm back in the store going through boxes that came in while I was away. Ann and Lynda both sent boxes filled with new garments.

Ann's box had a cardigan and a scarf.
Pattern: Tie Front Bolero from the Debbie Bliss Angel Prints brochure
Yarn: Debbie Bliss Angel Print

If you don't like self-striping yarn there are solid colours of Angel. Going to a party? There is Angel spiced up with a sprinkle of glitter called Party Angel.

Pattern: Ruched Scarf and Wrap from Churchmouse Yarns
Yarn: 3 balls of Rowan Kid Classic
Needles: 5mm

From Churchmouse
Our ruched scarf, designed by Jennifer Evans, was created to add subtle feminine flourish to the scarf equation (think of it as ruffles with restraint).
And Lynda's box had more
The detailing in the top is an easy lace pattern.

Pattern: Peasy by Heidi Kirrmaier (pattern purchased on Ravelry)
Yarn: Lang Donegal
Needles: 3.5mm
A cropped cardigan with 3/4 sleeves, worked in one piece from the top down, which means you can easily change the length of the sleeves and body as you like. You could also add more buttons if you prefer a closed cardigan. Instructions are given for working the sleeves flat, but they can be worked in the round if you prefer. It would look great in a cotton or linen yarn for summer as well.
The tweed knit up beautifully. It is a thin version of a tweed that Rowan had 20 years ago and was one of my favourite yarns.
Pattern: Adiri Cowl by Julia Trice (pattern purchased on Ravelry)
Yarn: one skein of pashmina worsted from madelinetosh
Colour: wellwater

I'm not sure how long this will be in the store. It is so soft-I might need to take it.

Pattern: Churchmouse Linen Stitch Scarf (addendum)
Yarn: 6 balls of Noro Silk Garden - 3 colours - 2 balls each
Needles: 7mm circular

I wasn't sure how a self-striping yarn would work in the Linen Stitch Scarf but I think it looks fabulous.

While I was away Jane and Cathy worked on a few scarves for me. The pictures turned out good for one and really bad for the other so you are going to see one and the other I will show next week.

I hope to finish this one over the weekend but here it is so far.

Yarn: One ball of Frillseeker Twilight
Needles: We are using 4mm but anything between 3.5mm and 5.5mm works.

Many times a yarn with metallic is stiff and can be called 'prickly'. This is very soft and drapey.

Frillseeker Twilight is $7.99 a ball. What a great present for your hair stylist, manicurist, doctor or anyone who you want to give a small Christmas gift to.

What happened to the weather? It has been warm and sunny for the past few days. It was warm this morning and now it is really cold. We had freezing rain an hour ago and now there are very small snow flakes falling. It's time to get out the warm, cozy sweaters!!

One of a Kind

Last night Cathy and I were texting and she said something about it snowing out. I told her that it wasn't snowing in Ancaster. Then I let the dogs out. Surprise! The snow was really coming down. Roko and Melo were happy to play in it. Me, not so much.

Tonight Beth and I are going to One of a Kind in Toronto. We need one more piece for our dining room wall. I can already tell this could be expensive. :)

We're home from the show. Thumbs Up! We got a parking spot right at the door. That never happens. It wasn't too busy. Dinner time on Saturday is the best time to go.

We got the last picture for our wall. Here is the wall now.
The last picture is for the far right left. I must be tired when I can't tell the difference between left and right. I didn't get a picture of the new piece before it was wrapped up. It is two tiles across and five down-in a duck egg blue/rust mix of ceramic squares.
Marie-Joel had something new this year. Her ceramic quilts weren't mounted on wood. We decided that these are going to work on the end wall. It will be easy to add more when we go to the spring show.

We let her play. She picked the squares and laid them out for us. This is how they are going to hang.
I also bought a new silk scarf. It is grey, denim, teal and mauve. I love it. I thought about putting it on but it would look finny now that I have changed into my lounging around the house clothes.

It has been a long day so I'm going to put my feet up and knit while watching college football.

I'm glad that we aren't driving to Detroit today. Going along the 401 in snow isn't a fun thing to do.

Fog isn't fun either. On our way home on Thursday we started passing wind turbines. Some of these were no more than 200 yards off the highway. It was so foggy on our drive last Sunday morning that we didn't even see them.

We learned something else on Thursday. When we got to the border the guard asked us for our hotel invoice. I never keep these. A lot of times I check out on the TV and don't pick up the invoice at the front desk-lesson learned. Always pick it up.

I finished the Frillseeker Twilight scarf last night. Seven stitches makes  for a perfect length scarf.

When I was done I handed it to Beth to feel. She said 'I thought it would feel scratchy because some metallic yarns are but it feels nice and soft'.
Drop City is growing. Every repeat you increase two stitches. The pattern says to do this increasing until 14 repeats are done. Then you are at the half way point. I've reached this but the scarf isn't long enough for my liking. I like them really long. I'm going to keep increasing for at least 3 more repeats. Then you start decreasing two stitches every repeat. The second half will go quicker. :)

It's almost football time. NFL - Beth and I have clinched a playoff spot in fantasy football. We missed the last two years so this is exciting. Then the Grey Cup later this afternoon. I don't really care who wins as long as we get to see a good game.

Somewhere in between this all we need to watch last week's episode of The Amazing Race. Beth forgot to tape it before we left last Sunday morning. I'm blaming it all on her. :)

Closures

It has been three weeks since I talked about the closures coming from JUL. I went on the USPS website today to track the parcel and it has finally cleared customs. It took almost a week. US Thanksgiving put everything on hold. It doesn't say that they are out for delivery tomorrow so I'm thinking Wednesday. There are a few closures in the box that I didn't show before-buttons. I can't wait. I have a few cardigans in the closet that could use buttons and these are so easy to attach.

The French Curves - we are receiving all these colours in large. In small we have chocolate, chestnut and black coming.

I don't have any knitting to show and no boxes arrived in the store today. This makes for a very short post.

I was sad to see the rockers leave The Amazing Race in last week's episode. They handled it very well. I don't know why people get upset when someone uses the U-Turn on them. It's part of the game. When you are playing for one million dollars you really don't have any friends. Everyone is out for themselves.

Tomorrow is going to be a long day so I'm going to say Goodnight and I promise better for tomorrow.

Noro Crochet

We have a new hardcover crochet book in the store. Noro's self striping yarns lend themselves beautifully to crochet.
These have me thinking about getting my hooks out.

Jane worked today and called to tell me that the box arrived from JUL with the closures. I'm going to have fun tomorrow playing.

Late this afternoon I had to run back to One of a Kind. That is a long story that isn't worth telling but I did come home with lots of Christmas gifts. I had to make a trip to the car part way through to unload and then went back in again.

Mr. Canpar brought in a box this morning with new scarf yarn. This one is really different.

Piccadilly

30m on a 58 gram skein
100% polyester

And then the sister yarn

Covent Garden

Of course I started a scarf. Not a lot was accomplished but I'm hoping tomorrow. Kim will be working with me again tomorrow. I might sit and knit all day. A person can wish. :)
The yarns are $20 a skein and one skein will make a scarf.

I don't suggest rolling the yarn into a ball but take a paper towel tube and roll the yarn onto it.

Kim and I played with the Jul accessories.

(I straightened this after the picture was taken)

We have new Christmas flags on the front of the store. Yes, I still believe in Santa.
Who is going home on Survivor tonight? Please let it be Abi. Please!!! I have some updating of the website to do and a newsletter to write before I can watch Survivor so I better hit Publish and get to it.

My dad was out tonight so Beth and I took Swiss Chalet over to my parents to have dinner with my mom. It's not too early to start the Christmas sucking up. :) Actually, it started earlier today when mom stopped by the store. She wanted to knit so I gave her some Misti Chunky Handpaint (100% alpaca) and addi needles to make a scarf. I even rolled the skein into a ball for her by hand. I'm a very good daughter.

We're home now and getting ready to watch football. Once my post is done I'm going to get back to some knitting.

I got a bit more done on the Covent Garden scarf today.
I really like it. It almost feels like a silk scarf. It will look great with your black dress coat but I think it will go well with a leather jacket as well. I'm seeing it with a jean jacket too.

We have a new book from Carol Sulcoski. Sock Yarn Studio. Hats, garments and other projects designed for sock yarn.
Knitting socks and knitting with hand-painted yarns are two hot trends. But what are knitters to do with leftover sock yarn? Or when they burn out on knitting socks? Sock Yarn Studio comes to the rescue with a delightful mix of projects--from one-skein hats, mittens, and scarves to multi-skein wraps, sweaters, and more--created with fingering or sport-weight sock yarns. And there's plenty of helpful advice for selecting yarns and knitting smart with tricky hand-paints and self-patterning yarns.
Are you looking for something to do with the sock yarn you have stashed? This book has lots of interesting projects.

And then Nick, Mr. Canpar brought in a box with another new book.
More fabulous projects in Noro.
Modular Neck Wrap in Silk Garden
Slip Stitch Cowl in Kureyon
Welted Cowl in Iro
 Tea Cozy in Kureyon

The Intarsia Lace Scarf in Silk Garden Sock. The picture wasn't on my supplier's website so I laid out the book and took a picture with my camera. I really, really like this scarf!!
We are having a lot of snow right now in Ancaster. Wilson Street is backed up. I hope it starts to clear before closing time because I really hate driving in the snow. Comes from driving in it at 16 and not being able to get my car up a hill. I kept sliding and people were passing me and honking. I HATE SNOW! I should take that back because snow always helps to sell yarn. :)

Tosh Merino Light

Kim came to work on Saturday wearing a shawl she knit in merino light.

The pattern is in the book Folk Shawls from Cheryl Oberle and is called Simple Garter Stitch Prairie Shawl.

The colour is Ruby Slippers. Madelinetosh is dying us more of this colour and we hope to have it in about two weeks.
Kim likes it so much that she took three skeins in the colour worn denim to make it again. She said it is great to work on while watching TV. She also commented that it was very light to wear. I've created a merino light monster-when she comes to work she walks to the display and plays with the colours. What will she do in a few weeks when an order arrives with 18 colours of merino light?
This prompted me to pull All the Shades of Truth out of the bag and get it finished. Sometimes I need a kick in the pants to finish a project. :)

The first chore was taking out the cast off from one end and redo it. My edge was way too loose and wavy. Then I had to pick up over 500 stitches along one edge. Now I have 10 rows of garter stitch.
It's time to hit Publish and get to work. My hope is to get this side done tonight and the second side done tomorrow while I'm in the store. Then blocking and maybe I can be wearing it next week.

Who Knew?

I received an email this morning about Rowan Kidsilk Creation. There are new solid colours-007-012. Who knew?? I didn't. They are ordered and we should have them next week. Still lots of time to get a scarf made (knit or crochet) for Christmas. They take under an hour.
It doesn't look like it in the picture but 009 Wicked is Black.

I'm not sure that I ever had a picture of the Stripes colours so here they are.

The first side border is done and cast off. The black really sets off the colours.

My dad is in Honduras for his annual mission trip. He gets home on Wednesday night so on Thursday I am going to have him get me a large sheet of styrofoam for blocking. Right now I have half a sheet but that doesn't work well for a big shawl.
This picture is from two trips ago to Honduras. My dad is in the back (grey hair and grey t-shirt). The lady in front was just over 100 years old when this was taken. On Sunday dad called mom to say that they went back to her village for a visit. She is still living. She can't see but she knows my dad's voice. He brings her candies-Worthers-the good stuff. She refers to my dad as the young man. He likes that. Over 70 and being called young.

They are really enjoying this trip because they are up in the mountains. The weather isn't nearly as hot. In the morning they need a jacket and it reaches about 78 during the day. Other trips it has been over 100.
This is part of the group mixing cement by hand. It is for the floor of a home. The family is grateful that they don't have to worry about mud in the rainy season. The things we take for granted.

Beth just walked in the door from my mom's. She went to take their dog Tui for a walk. While she was there Dad called and all is going well. Two more sleeps. They are staying in a church hall. No beds. No air mattresses. Just a sheet on a dirt floor. He took a pillow case and is putting clothes in it to make a pillow. His suitcase was so full with tools and treats for the kids that there wasn't room for a real pillow.

Football tonight. I think that we are going to lose our Fantasy Football this week but we did make the playoffs. The Next Iron Chef is on as well. Hopefully I can get the other side of All the Shades of Truth picked up. It takes a long time to pick up 500 stitches.

Covent Garden

I was late leaving the store tonight. The scarf was almost done so I decided to stay and finish it. Does this count as a finished project? If so then I get to start something new. :)

Yarn: Covent Garden from Estelle

One skein makes the scarf. Needle size doesn't matter - I used 4mm but 4.5mm or 5mm would work as well.
It's nice and long so you will be able to wrap around nicely.

Casey (@Ravelry on Twitter) tweeted something cool about Ravelry that I didn't know about.

Go to the pattern page and on the left you will see 'HOT RIGHT NOW'. Just below that it says 'YOU'VE LOOKED AT...'. Then it says 'SEE MORE ON YOUR HISTORY PAGE'. Take a look. It shows what you have recently looked at.

I look a few pictures from my iPad to show you. The first is the main pattern page.
Here are my recent searches. It even shows the time.

Now you can see what websites I've been looking at. Fantasy Football. ESPN. Vegas shows-seeing if there is anyone that I need to see when I'm there at the end of January.

This picture was taken last night in Honduras. It has become tradition to hold a pinata party on the final night in a village. My dad says that the kids love it but they have to hold back the parents because they can be worse than the kids going for candy. Today they are traveling to the capital city, Tegucigalpa. They spend the night there tonight and fly home in the morning.
People ask my dad why I don't go along. Seriously? My dad knows that it isn't worth wasting his breath to ask me. No make up. No running water. Cold showers. Going to the washroom outside. I'm much better off donating money and letting others go. That isn't something that I could do and the others on the trip don't want me along. :)

I got the second border picked up on All the Shades of Truth last night but didn't even make it through the first row before my bed called me. Maybe I'll get more done tonight.

If you receive our sock newsletter make sure to watch your inbox tomorrow morning. I finished a newsletter this afternoon and it is scheduled to go out around 6am. A general newsletter will be going out later this week.
